Iceland rocks

Took a drive from Vatnsholt, where we are staying on a most unusual "farm", along the Þjórsá Valley to see Mount Hekla & the ubiquitous Fosses. You may recognise the columnar basalt formations shared with the Giant's Causeway.

These beautiful creatures are present in large numbers, which made me a little suspicious as to their fate. This was confirmed on a cafe menu.
